Symmes/D'Arcy is a Legacy School with the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, and as a part of Secret Path Week we will be showing the film Indian Horse on Friday, October 18th at 7pm. Admission is free and there will be snacks and beverages available for purchase. Funds raised will go to the Downie Wenjack Fund and The PeaceLeaders exchange trip to The North.

Hey Symmes/D’Arcy! Are you looking for something to do outside of school? Here are 7 activities that are held on Wednesdays or Saturdays here in our community… and the best part is they’re free! Altitude Gym. Studio de Danse Danielle. Centre Yoga. Safety Tree Canada. Douvris Martial Arts. Hockey Drills & Skills. CrossFit Authentique. If you don’t have a ride to these classes, no worries. As a school we can help you with bus or taxi tickets. Most programs start on October 30th and run until December. 18th. Sign up outside of Room 126. Ask Mrs. Koltai for more information

Great News! We have a student government at D'Arcy. We will be meeting every day 8 for now in Room 145 please bring your lunch. We will be assigning roles and choosing our first few events to organize. Come out Wed anyone who wants to get involved. You can have fun and make a difference!

Calling ALL GIRLS! New this season - This is YOUR TIME!  Starting Thursday, October 3rd at lunch and every Thursday after - there will be Girls Power Hour Fitness workouts in the gym hosted by Lime Studio personel! From boot camp to kickboxing to zumba - we have it all. Come and join in the fun and fitness. It's time to boost your energy. All levels are welcome!

Attention Symmes students: Have you heard of Destination Imagination?  We are looking for students interested in competing in this year’s Middle School Challenge.  This tournament is the ultimate celebration of creativity and innovation. You will solve challenges using teamwork and problem solving skills.  Teams will be building inventions, creating stories, and presenting their ideas in a fun and creative way!    The winning team from our school board will have a chance to represent Quebec at the Global Competition in Kansas City this spring!  This year’s invention will use your engineering and /or computer science skills!    There will be an information meeting today in Room 109.
