DO NOT FORGET TO CONTACT THE SCHOOL TO CONFIRM ALL ABSENCES...

Attendance is taken at the beginning of every period.  Students who are late will be listed as absent and must report to the office for an Admit Slip before proceeding to class.  As well, if students come in to school later in the day (from appointments etc.), or are leaving school property prior to dismissal, they must report to the attendance clerk, Monique Roy, in office 132.

Any student who is late for class twice in one day will be assigned a lunch hour detention.  As well, a student who accumulates three lates in a term will be assigned an after school detention.

In order to ensure your child’s safety, parents are asked to leave a message on the answering machine, fax or e-mail prior to 8:30 am when they know their son/daughter will be away that day.

Phone: 819-684-7472 ext.2132

Fax:  819-684-7521

e-mail:  mroy@wqsb.qc.ca

In the event that parents have not left a message at the school, a signed note explaining the absence will be expected on the child’s return.

If a child is being dropped off at school after the start of class and parents have not had a chance to inform the school of their child’s late arrival, parents are asked to accompany their child to the attendance clerk’s office.

Those absences not reported by parents are considered to be “non-verified”.  A non-verified absence will be treated as truancy and will result in a behavioural consequence (ei. After school detention, suspension)
